Overview

We’re looking for a fundraising strategist to join **Magid & Company** in New York City**.** This opportunity is different from what’s out there — it’s a unique combination of the most fun parts of a venture, operating, and founder job.

If you want to help build a platform to change how post-seed founders raise capital, read on.

What we’re building

Magid & Company is an alternative model in early stage venture capital. We work alongside founders, helping them navigate and optimize fundraising for Series A and B rounds.

Magid has helped founders raise $1.2 billion across 37 rounds. We’ve built a new advisory model that earns equity in top-performing startups through a win:win relationship. We are the secret weapon used by founders to improve their odds of the kind of successful fundraise that will propel them to building the future.

The Magid playbook is built on learnings from guiding hundreds of top startups through successful Series As and Bs, and seed investments in companies like Scale, Deel, Rappi, Modern Treasury, Lattice and Groww.

What we do, day to day

  1. Source founders: We’ve built a quiet but powerful brand on our unique value proposition serving founders. We reach out to founders, work with seed investors, VCs, and accelerators, and publish essays and research to reach thousands of founders and investors every week.
  2. Market research: We track the Series A & B market and produce research with a proprietary tool called The Codex, powered by data on thousands of funding rounds and investors.
  3. Assist fundraises: We work formally with a small number of founders and operate as a hands-on advisor. We help optimize storytelling, relationships, and process-driven fundraising (read more) to drive successful Series A or B fundraises.

Who you are

You will work with Aaron Harris, the Founder of Magid and former YC Partner (2013-2021). Magid is still young, so you will work across every function of the business, every day.
